Bachoco, the poultry leader in Mexico and the sixth largest poultry company in the world, for the third year in a row, is recognized as one of the 100 most responsible companies in Mexico according to the 10th edition of the ESG Responsibility ranking prepared by MERCO (Company Monitor on Corporate Reputation).
Thanks to the efforts of more than 31,000 employees, Bachoco was ranked among the top 10 companies in the food sector and among the 50 best companies in the Social and Governance categories. The MERCO Responsibility ESG ranking measures the Environmental performance of companies, their internal responsibility to customers and Society, and their responsibility at an ethical and corporate Governance level. The methodology applied by MERCO includes an exhaustive and detailed analysis of more than 4,800 surveys, 5 evaluations, and 15 sources of information; verified through an independent review by KPMG. Stakeholders surveyed include academics, journalists, consumers, and business executives, among others.
